IT Support Specialist
Trackunit is looking for an IT Support Specialist to balance our IT Operations team. The team is located in Denmark and Canada, and this person would be primary contact for the European timezone. You'll be the first point of contact for hardware, software, and access issues, and you'll play a key role in keeping our global IT operations running smoothly as we scale.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role within our IT Operations pillar, ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with people, and building good habits into a growing IT function.
What You'll Do
Provide first- and second-line IT support to employees both in person and globally - hardware, software, network, and access issues
Manage device provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle (laptops, peripherals) using our device management tools (IRU/Intune)
Handle user onboarding and offboarding, including identity and access management through Okta (SSO, SCIM-provisioned accounts)
Log, triage, and resolve tickets through our service management platform (Freshservice), meeting agreed SLAs
Maintain accurate asset inventory and support hardware procurement/logistics.
Support endpoint security tooling (e.g., CrowdStrike) and escalate security-relevant issues per policy
Partner with the global IT Operations team on shared processes, documentation, and continuous improvement
Act as a local liaison for facilities/IT needs tied to office equipment and meeting room technology in Denmark.
What You Bring
A completed IT-supporter qualification (data- og kommunikationsuddannelsen, trin 1) or equivalent EUD/vocational IT support education — new graduates are very welcome to apply
Practical experience with Windows and/or macOS environments (including from your apprenticeship/praktik placement)
A proactive, service-oriented mindset and comfort working both independently and as part of a distributed team
Strong communication skills — able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues
Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus (most of our global IT team and documentation operate in English)
A strong sense of curiosity, intrinsic motivation and desire to be of service to others
Nice to Have (not required — we're happy to train)
Exposure to identity/access concepts (SSO, user provisioning) - Okta experience a plus
Familiarity with ticketing/ITSM tools; Freshservice experience a plus
Also Nice to Have
Experience with MDM/endpoint management tools (IRU, Intune)
Exposure to security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001) or general security hygiene practices
Experience supporting a hybrid or globally distributed workforce
