People Operations Specialist
At Trackunit, we believe people are the foundation of our success. We’re now looking for a People Operations Specialist who is excited to continue to strengthen the operational backbone that enables our business and people - to scale worldwide. You will work as a specialist with operational responsibilities in an international context, collaborate with many different stakeholders, and actively contribute to delivering impactful people solutions at scale.
This is a key role for a people professional who thrives on building systems and structure, enabling people, and using data and systems to scale people practices globally.
Our People Operations team is based in the heart of Aalborg and Aarhus, and we offer a flexible setup that allows you to combine time in the office with working from home. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
What’s in it for you?
- We are a People & Talent team of 12 colleagues across Denmark, Canada, and Germany. The team includes a CPO, specialists in culture & organizational development, reward, and operations, five People Business Partners, and the canteen team in Aalborg. Together, we support Trackunit through strategic people initiatives and operational excellence.
- A place in an agile growth SaaS business, with possibilities to grow internally in the company. We are moving quickly, so fasten your seat belt and prepare to adjust. Back in 2020 we were 150 employees at Trackunit and we have just passed 450 employees.
- International environment with regular check-ins and social events across teams, departments and borders.
- We take your personal and professional development goals seriously and we support them through training, coaching and mindfulness as well as with an open feedback culture to enable you to identify your strengths and opportunities. We do this by touching upon your impact on our triple focus: impacting yourself, impacting teams/relations and impacting the organisation/strategy.
- Flexibility and hybrid working is not just a cliché to us or something we state in a job posting. We do offer you a flexible setup and believe that you best can structure how your routines look like. And once you have chosen how you work best, let us know what you need: we got you covered with the IT equipment you need for your work.
- Turning the Tide. At Trackunit, we aim to create and contribute to an inclusive workplace. And this priority starts with our hiring - we do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation, personal expression, ethnicity, religious belief, or disability status. We only assess candidates on their qualifications and merit. Learn more about TIDE and other DE&I initiatives here.
Who are you ideally?
A hands-on operations specialist with a passion for structure and impact: You’ll take active ownership of key operational areas across regions and countries, ensuring accurate execution, data quality, and compliance. Working closely with your team and cross-functional partners, you’ll contribute to scalable solutions that bridge today’s operations with our future ambitions - helping shape a smooth, reliable people experience across the organization
We imagine you have a background and experience in some of the following areas:
- People Systems & Optimization: Contribute to the continued development and adoption of our HRIS (HiBob), enabling smarter and automated workflows, quality of data, and an enhanced employee experience.
- Employment contracts and documentation: Draft and coordinate employment contracts, amendments, and global mobility documents, ensuring alignment with local labor laws and internal policies.
- People Data & Analytics: Contribute to the creation and delivering of actionable insights through dashboards and reporting - helping the business making informed decisions.
- Policy, Governance & Compliance: Ensure that company policies and processes are up to date, compliant, and scalable for a growing international business, while evolving our core people processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability across regions.
Don't meet every single requirement? No worries - this is what we're looking for ideally, but if you're particularly drawn to this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply.
Primary responsibilities:
- Demonstrated experience executing and improving people operations processes at scale in a global or multi-country setting.
- Ownership of key process areas such as onboarding, employment documentation, data updates, or compliance workflows - with high attention to structure, quality, and consistency.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to systems, data governance, and process optimization, with a focus on scalability and employee experience.
- Strong comfort working with HRIS platforms (ideally HiBob), including maintaining data integrity, driving automation, and enabling cross-functional integration.
- Skilled at translating data into insights and supporting decision-making through structured reporting, and updates.
- Effective and clear communicator - able to collaborate across People, Legal, Finance, and business functions to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- A trusted contributor who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and actively supports the impact of the entire People & Talent team.
Our hiring process
Don't waste your time on writing the best possible cover letter for the job. We want you to create an impact that matters, and that's not in the cover letter.
- Virtual meet with members of the team and Chief People Officer.
- Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment using use Hogan prior to the interview. Our Hogan assessment enables us to understand your abilities and how you align with our team culture. Instead of seeking 'appropriate' responses, the priority is to develop a meaningful exchange that illustrates your synergy with the Trackunit team.
- Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete work tasks or projects related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues and the team from People & Talent, who you’ll also work closely with in the job.
- If needed, throughout the process we will obtain references from former employers and do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself.
- Offer presentation and walk-through. We’re lucky to have you!
